Leah has been cutting hair in Austin since the early nineties when she moved here from El Paso, TX, mainly for the music scene, when Austin really was weird. She fell in love with the city and decided to stay. She has trained under some of the industry’s top educators, and continues to pursue her education in hair cutting. She feels that with quickly changing trends, it is important for stylists to stay current, while having a strong grasp of what is classic and timeless. While keeping up with current trends, she strives to create style that is geared towards each client rather than offering cookie cutter style. She often takes the current or approaching trends then tailors them for your specific personality and lifestyle.

Leah prides herself on having one of the few clean air salons in Austin. She uses nontoxic, holistic hair care products, and does not offer chemical services of any kind. In her private suite, she aims to offer an enjoyable, healthy, fun, creative experience for you. Once a client makes their way to her chair, they often find themselves still with her, several years later. Her love for people and her career has made her years behind the chair go very quickly. She is grateful to still have such passion for her craft. Her clients often refer to her private suite as her “peaceful pod”.

When she is not cutting hair, she might be watching hair cutting videos, taking a hair cutting class, hanging out on the greenbelt behind her home with her dogs and family, enjoying some of her husband’s nationally recognized/award winning home brews, bird watching, or volunteering at a local Wildlife Rescue. She will tell you, she loves wild things, wild people, wild hearts, and cutting some bad ass hair.
